Budget Commissioner Michaele Schreyer and the Parliament and Council delegations have taken a decision at their informal budget meeting in Stockholm which will bring major gains in transparency and at the same time benefits for the environment. In future the Budget Directorate-General will be supplying Parliament's Committee on Budgets and the Council each week with data on budget implementation. This will be done electronically. Previously the two institutions had received only a printed report and then only once a quarter. |
