Press Release: Government welcomes adoption of EU FMD directive

European Agriculture Ministers agreed a proposal, on 12 June 2003, for EU-wide measures on the control of foot-and-mouth disease, following talks at the Agriculture and Fisheries Council held in Luxembourg on 11-12 June 2003.
