Press Release: Greece will host first Frontex Operational Office

Piraeus, in Greece, will host the first Frontex Operational Office, further to a decision taken on 4 February 2010 by the Frontex Management Board. This will be the first of a number of offices that it is hoped will provide regionally-based support for Frontex coordinated activities. The core responsibilities will remain in Frontex Headquarters in Warsaw, Poland.
