The UK Floods Recovery Minister, John Healey, said on 6 May 2008 that all the extra money the UK was receiving from the European Union following the serious flooding which occured in the summer of 2007, would be passed on to the affected communities. Clearance was given for the funding on 7 April 2008, when the European Commission approved the amended EU Budget. |
