Press Release: Human rights: Maldives; Malaysia; the case of Ibrahim Halawa in Egypt

The European Parliament's plenary session approved on 17 December 2015 several resolutions regarding the situation of human rights across the globe:

+ Call for Egyptian authorities to immediately release Ibrahim Halawa, an Irish citizen detained in Egypt who could face death penalty;

+ Call for the release of all political prisoners in Maldives;

+ Call for the withdrawal of the anti-sodomy law in Malaysia.
