On 30 March 2004 the European Court of Justice confirmed a ruling by the Court of First Instance which rejected a complaint introduced by a group of members of the European Parliament against the Parliament's decision according to which the European Parliament and its members are subject to control by the European Office for the Fight against Fraud (OLAF). OLAF can conduct administrative investigations within the European Parliament, as in all other European institutions, in cases of suspicion of fraud, corruption or other illegal activities. |
