Press Release: Loyola De Palacio launches Interconnectivity of Mashrek Gas Market to EU Internal Market and Supports Reforms in Egyptian Energy and Transport Sector

Loyola de Palacio, Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of Transport and Energy, paid a visit to Egypt from 25th to 27th September 2004 to underline the importance of practical steps to increase regional integration of energy and transport networks, within the framework of Euro-Mediterranean co-operation and the European Neighbourhood Policy. Loyola de Palacio also inaugurated the GALILEO office in Cairo.
