Press Release: MEPs want integrated energy market with clear targets & secure supplies

The European Parliament's industry committee approved a resolution on 10 November 2015 setting out its demands for a European energy union. Among them: compliance with the European Commission's recommendation concerning hydraulic fracturing, a voluntary system to collectively purchase energy, and support for the development of Europe's own energy resources.
