The European Commission on 10 May 2006 approved under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed acquisition of the German naval electronics supplier Atlas Elektronik GmbH by ThyssenKrupp Technologies AG ('TKT') and EADS Deutschland. The Commission’s market investigation concluded that the proposed transaction, leading to a vertical integration of a formerly independent supplier of TKT, would not significantly impede effective competition in the European Economic Area (EEA) or any substantial part of it. |
