Press Release: Mergers: Commission approves acquisition of joint control over EFW by EADS and Singapore Technologies in aircraft sector

The European Commission has cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed acquisition of joint control over Elbe Flugzeugwerke GmbH (EFW) by EADS Deutschland and aircraft maintenance provider Singapore Technologies Aerospace (STA). EFW is currently solely owned by EADS. The Commission concluded that the transaction would not raise competition concerns because it would not significantly alter the market structure.
