Press Release: Mergers: Commission approves merger between British Airways and Iberia

The European Commission has cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed merger between British Airways of the UK and Iberia of Spain, both active in air passenger and cargo transport and related services. The Commission concluded that the transaction would not significantly impede effective competition in the European Economic Area (EEA) or any substantial part of it.
