The European Commission has cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed acquisition of the German Kion Group by two US companies, the private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co (KKR) and the international banking group Goldman Sachs. Kion is a manufacturer of counterbalanced forklift trucks and warehouse equipment. The Commission concluded that the proposed transaction would not significantly impede competition in the European Economic Area (EEA) or any substantial part of it. |
