Press Release: Mergers: Commission approves proposed acquisition of Nera by Thrane & Thrane

The European Commission has approved under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed acquisition of Nera Satcom AS of Norway by the Danish company Thrane & Thrane A/S. The Commission, which had been requested by the UK national competition authority (Office of Fair Trading - OFT) to look at this transaction, concluded that the proposed transaction would not significantly impede effective competition in the European Economic Area (EEA) or any substantial part of it.
