Press Release: Mergers: Commission approves proposed acquisition of the So.Ge.Par Group by Outokumpu Oyj

The European Commission approved under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed acquisition of So.Ge.Par Group ('Sogepar'), an Italian group operating as a distributor of stainless steel products across the EU and Turkey, by the Finnish company, Outokumpu Oyj. After examining the operation, the Commission concluded that the proposed transaction would not significantly impede effective competition in the EEA or any substantial part of it and has therefore approved the concentration.
