The European Commission cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed acquisition of Trane by Ingersoll-Rand, both US-listed companies. Ingersoll-Rand is in particular active in solutions to transport, preserve, and display temperature-sensitive products, whereas Trane provides air conditioning systems and related products. The Commission concluded that the operation would not significantly impede effective competition in the European Economic Area (EEA) or any substantial part of it. |
