Press Release: Mergers: Commission approves proposed joint venture between Mauser and Reyde

The European Commission cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed joint venture between Mauser Holding International of Germany and Reyde of Spain, for the production and sale of intermediate bulk containers ('IBCs'). Furthermore, Mauser is to sell the assets of its plastic drums' business in the South of France to Reyde. After examining the operation, the Commission concluded that the transaction would not significantly impede effective competition in the European Economic Area (EEA) or any substantial part of it.
