The European Commission has cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed acquisition of MAN SE by Volkswagen AG, both of Germany. The Commission concluded that the proposed transaction would not significantly impede effective competition in the EEA1 because the merged entity would continue to face strong competition from other well established manufacturers. |
