Press Release: Mergers: Commission clears proposed acquisition of Galvex by ArcelorMittal

The European Commission cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed acquisition of the galvanised steel business of the Estonian Galvex Group by ArcelorMittal, a leading global steel company based in Luxembourg. The Commission’s investigation found that the proposed transaction would not impede effective competition in the European Economic Area (EEA) or any substantial part of it.
