Press Release: Mergers: Commission clears proposed acquisition of Hilton by Blackstone

The European Commission has approved, under the EU Merger Regulation, the proposed take-over of the US-based Hilton company, active in the hotel industry, by the asset manager Blackstone, also of the US. The Commission has concluded that the transaction would not significantly impede effective competition in the European Economic Area (EEA) or any substantial part of it.
