The European Commission has cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed acquisition of the Automotive Playback Module business of Philips’ of the Netherlands, by the Philips & BenQ Digital Storage Corporation (PBDS) of Taiwan. The Commission concluded that the transaction would not significantly impede effective competition in the European Economic Area (EEA) or in any substantial part of it. |
