Press Release: Mergers: Commission clears proposed joint venture between Fiat Group and Crédit Agricole

The European Commission has approved under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed creation of a joint venture between the French bank Crédit Agricole and Fiat Auto, subsidiary of the Italian Fiat Group. After examining the operation, the Commission concluded that the proposed transaction would not significantly impede effective competition in the European Economic Area (EEA) or any substantial part of it.
