The European Commission has approved a project to facilitate and support the implementation of the EU-Mexico Free Trade Agreement in force since July 2000. The project, which has total budget of € 16 million, will receive EU funding of € 8 million and will be co-funded in equal part by the Mexican government. The EU-Mexico FTA aims to increase bilateral trade and investment and to enhance the potential for economic growth and job creation.
