Press Release: Minister Smith has talks with the EU Agriculture Commissioner on the future of the CAP

The EU Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Dacian Ciolos, visited Ireland on 1 October 2010, for talks with the Irish Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Brendan Smith. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the future direction of the Common Agricultural Policy after 2013, in advance of the publication of a Communication from the Commission on the matter in November 2010.
