Press Release: Ministers Smith and Killeen to press for fast and effective EU Commission response to the impact of high oil prices on Ireland’s fishing fleet

The Irish Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Brendan Smith and the Irish Minister of State for Fisheries, Tony Killeen, on 18 June 2008, met the European Commissioner for Fisheries, Joe Borg, to discuss a new EU-funded package of measures to address the difficulties being experienced by fishermen across the EU and particularly in Ireland.
