Press Release: Network and Information Security: Better standards to improve security

A set of recommendations on network and information security standards will be debated at an open meeting to be held on 13 June in Brussels.

The recommendations follow the European Commission's Communication on Network and Information Security, which was published in June 2001 and which called on the European standardisation bodies to draw up a comprehensive strategy on security of electronic networks.
