Press Release: New Head of European Commission Representation in Bulgaria

On 1 May 2013, Mr Ognian Zlatev took office as the new Head of the European Commission's Representation in Sofia.

Mr Zlatev has been working since 2011 as Head of Communication at the Directorate General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion. In this role he helped communicating effectively the Commission's actions to tackle youth unemployment and social inclusion. Mr Zlatev brings to his new role a track record of working with media stakeholders and NGOs in Bulgaria and other south-eastern European countries. He has a strong background in communication related to EU integration, EU policies and EU institutions.
