The European Union's new tariff arrangements for developing countries from 1 January 2002 mark a year of radical moves to meet developing countries' concerns over trade and should help favour their integration in the world economy. It updates the Generalised Scheme of Tariff Preferences and will be simpler, more user-friendly and more efficient. |
