Mr Dominique Ristori was appointed on 26 April 2006 Deputy Director-General of the Directorate-General for Energy and Transport, in charge of nuclear energy. His main tasks were defined as follows: to contribute to implementation of the provisions of the Euratom Treaty relating to radiation protection and nuclear security and safety; to co-ordinate relations with the other Community institutions, the Member States and nuclear energy players; to be responsible for negotiations with the Member States or third parties on nuclear energy matters; to liaise with the other Directorates-General on matters within his areas of competence. |
