Press Release: Protecting minorities starts at the local level

A conference about the crucial role played by local and regional authorities in the protection of minorities and anti-discrimination policies took place at City Hall, Vienna, on 17 March 2006. The conference was organised by the Committee of the Regions (CoR) in cooperation with the European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia (EUMC).

Please note that the EUMC was replaced by the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) in 2007.
