Press Release: Recruitment: Results published for first new EPSO competition

The results of the first new open competition to select generalist graduate 'Administrators', launched in 2010 as part of a programme of modernisation of the EU Institution selection procedure, were released in February 2011. This programme, driven by the European Personnel Selection Office (EPSO), includes the introduction of an annual cycle of competitions to allow potential candidates to know when they can apply year to year, and a streamlined two stage process, which has cut the time of large selection procedures from 2 years to 10 months and smaller specialist selections from an average of 16 months to just 6 months. Although the attractive offer of an EU Career meant that EPSO received more than 51,000 applications, they were still able to deliver the results approximately 9 months after the deadline for applications in April 2010.
