The Irish Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, Dick Roche, on 7 April 2006, announced that over 14,500 tonnes of waste electrical and electronic equipment had been collected for recycling in less than 7 months under the new WEEE scheme, which had been successful beyond all expectations. |
