The Property Fund represents the solution proposed by the Romanian authorities for the compensation of the owners dispossessed by the communist regime, whose confiscated wealth cannot be restituted in kind. The Fund functions as legal entity as of the end of 2005 and it holds in its portfolio shares to 114 state companies, the share capital amounting to approximately 3,9 billion EUR |
