Press Release: Second revision of the Cotonou Agreement initialled

An ACP-EU ministerial meeting on 19 March 2010 agreed the second revision of the ACP-EU partnership agreement, the so-called Cotonou Agreement. The accord was concluded in
2000 and provides for a review every five years. The agreement constitutes the foundation for the special relationship between the EU and 78 African, Caribbean and Pacific nations.
