The European Commission on 22 March 2005 received strong support from the Social partners (UNICE/UEAPME and CEEP for the employers and ETUC/Eurocadres for the trade unions) for the review of its Lisbon strategy, which highlighted the importance of jobs and growth in the EU. The European Tripartite Social Summit in Brussels was held together with representatives of the European Commission and of the present and future EU Presidencies. |
