Press Release: State aid: Commission launches probe into possible aid to Italian manufacturer Ixfin

The European Commission has opened under EC Treaty State aid rules an in-depth investigation into restructuring aid in favour of the Italian electrical and optical equipment manufacturer Ixfin SpA. The Commission has concerns that a rescue aid in favour of the company was not ended in time and that additional illegal restructuring aid was granted. The opening of an in-depth investigation gives interested parties a possibility to submit their comments. It does not prejudge the outcome of the procedure.
