The European Commission has granted temporary approval, under EU state aid rules, to Danish public support to facilitate the sale of part of Max Bank. Max Bank is a small bank active primarily in southern and western parts of Zealand, Denmark. The bank has reported significant impairment losses on loans and advances. As a result the Danish Financial regulator considered necessary a rescue of the bank. |
