Press Release: State aid – the Commission rules that Crédit Mutuel did not benefit from overcompensation for distribution of the Livret bleu savings account

Following an investigation under EU state aid rules, the Commission has ruled that Crédit Mutuel was not overcompensated for distribution of the Livret bleu savings account in France. In 2009 France liberalised the rules on the distribution of the Livret bleu and Livret A tax-free savings accounts, allowing all banks to market them. Today's decision brings the Commission's investigation to a close.
