Statement by the European Commissioner for External Relations and Neighbourhood Policy, Benita Ferrero-Waldner, on the decision by a Libyan appeal court to clear nine policemen and a doctor accused of mistreating 5 Bulgarian nurses currently in jail in Tripoli. The nurses and a Palestinian doctor had been found guilty by Libyan courts in 2004 of infecting more than 400 children with HIV. |
