Press Release: Steel sector – Commission makes information on planned steel imports available on-line

From July 2006, the European Commission will publish data relating to planned EU steel imports on its web site. The information enables rapid analysis of steel import trends in the EU Member States. The publication is envisaged to take place on a monthly basis (around the 15 th of each month) and the data will be accompanied by a short commentary.
