The Commission adopted on 18 July 2000 a decision approving the education, training and employment 'Operational Programme' for East Wales for the next seven years. This Objective 3 Programme is financed by the European Social Fund and EU support for the seven year period 2000-2006 will total €132 million. This is the first time that Wales has had a separate programme for its Objective 3 activities. |
