Press Release: Survey shows EU citizens favour globalisation

	According to Flash Eurobarometer 151b, 'Globalisation', released by the European Commission on 17 November 2003, 63% of EU citizens are favourable to the development of globalisation while more than half (52%) believe that if globalisation intensifies in the future this would be more advantageous for them. The survey conducted between 8 and 16 October 2003 also shows that 62% of EU citizens believe the process of globalisation can be effectively controlled and regulated, while 56% believe that more rules are necessary to harness the development of globalisation.
