Press Release: Tax policies for a post-crisis world: Commissioner Šemeta opens Brussels Tax Forum

Algirdas Šemeta, EU Commissioner for Taxation, Customs, Audit and Anti-fraud, opened on 1 March 2010 the 4th Brussels Tax Forum, for which the topic was 'Tax Policies for a Post-Crisis World'. The conference focused on the lessons to be learned for taxation from the financial crisis, and the key role that tax policies could play in rebuilding Europe's economy and ensuring sustained growth.
