The European Commission adopted its budgetary proposals for 2002 (Preliminary Draft Budget or 'PDB 2002') on 8.5.01. They amount to around €100 billion in commitments and almost €98 billion in payments, a rise of 3.4% and 4.8% respectively from 2001. |
