On 20 October 2009 the European Commission adopted its fifth report on certain third countries' maintenance of visa requirements in breach of the principle of reciprocity and the ad-hoc report on the reintroduction of the visa requirement by Canada for Czech citizens. The reports showed that – despite the set-back regarding Canada – further progress towards full visa reciprocity has been achieved.
