The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) published on 17 September 2015 a comprehensive study into small businesses' opinion on the referendum on the UK's membership of the European Union.

Results of the study showed that small businesses were split whether to stay in the EU or not, as the report found that 47% of members would vote 'yes' and stay in, and around 41% would vote to leave. There was also significant regional variation across the UK.
