The European Commission on 20 July 2005 adopted a series of measures on closer political and technical co-ordination on the completion of the trans-European transport network (TEN-T). These measures included the nomination of six prominent figures as European co-ordinators and the setting up of an Executive Agency for the TEN-T. The European Commissioner for Transport, Jacques Barrot, also chaired a steering group with the Commissioners concerned to improve the contribution of trans-European transport, energy and telecommunications networks to economic growth. Press release lists key transport projects across Europe and the responsible co-ordinators. |
