On 23 June, 2009, the European Commission appointed Zoran Stančič as Deputy Director-General of the Directorate-General for the Information Society and Media (DG INFSO). He will assist the Director-General in taking forward the DG's work, promoting international cooperation in information and communication technology (ICT) research and representing the Commission in negotiations on ICT development, the regulatory environment and the availability and accessibility of ICT-based services. |
