A television station in Ukraine was forced to broadcast from a mobile facility on 5 September 2016 after its building caught fire during a protest. The studio of Inter TV, one of the country's most popular broadcasters, was set ablaze by protesters unhappy with its alleged support for Russia.

Critics considered this incident as yet another example of Ukrainian leadership's increasing intolerance of opposing political views. This broadcaster had already been subject of controversy and came close to having its licence stripped for airing New Year's Eve celebration from Moscow.
