Summary:

The European Commission adopted on 13 June 2018 a proposal for a Programme which focuses on providing financial support to Bulgaria and Slovakia to safely decommission six nuclear reactors at the Kozloduy nuclear power plant units 1-4 and the Bohunice V1 nuclear power plant.

It also supports the actions of the Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC), implementing safely the decommissioning process and the management of resulting radioactive waste of the Commission's own nuclear installations at the JRC sites.

It repeals Regulation (Euratom) No 1368/2013.
