Provocative new Polish passports?

Euro|Topics relaunched their website during 2016. Features published before that date are still available via an archive website (see related url hyperlinks).Poles were to be issued new passports to mark the 100th anniversary of the country's independence in 2018. But the new designs for the passports proposed by the Ministry of the Interior in an online vote sparked protests in the aummer of 2017 because they included images of sites of historical significance for Poland which were located in modern day Ukraine and Lithuania. Polish commentators in the media feared negative repercussions.
